Hi all,

I've proposed dropping all non-NASA add-ons from the installer, beginning in version 1.3.2. My rationale for this proposal is in bug WW-55: http://issues.worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/browse/WW-55

Please leave your thoughts in that bug, or in this forum.

The installer for WW should ONLY contain NASA developed material.

Whilst we have some excellent add-on/layers etc I agree that they should be available elsewhere. Maybe as part of the installer, links be provided to wwc and to "The unofficial unofficial add-ons list".

As is pointed out in the forum and I quote "Please note the following add-ons are in no way endorsed or supported by NASA, any questions relating to a specific add-on should be placed in the appropriate forum thread". These addons are the responsability of the devlopers not NASA.

Where does this leave the s/w "NASA World Wind Beginner Walkthrough"? Based on what I have just said, it will have to be separate.

Good move Jessi.

I think any add-on providing additional images (like the NY orthophotography one) should be included. Also in this case, I think it would be better the additional images not be available via an add on, but built in WW (or be a bundled add-on till the next major release).
