Excellent tool, as soon as I am at home I will try it again.
unfortunately It cant connect to the web from my office, I think that it will be cause of the proxy server.

I'll have to look into this. My guess is that you had to specify some proxy settings in your web browser in order to access the web? If that's the case, I'll have to set up a configuration such that you can input proxy settings into World Wind.
I haven't thought of this issue before...I'm definitely going to look into it.

exactly, but we also have password authentication, so every time you open a connection throught the proxy it asks for user&pass. (In Internet Explorer (Every version, >4x))

Cool, I would love this future also, although I don’t need authentication. This is a grate program; if it could download updates threw an HTTP proxy that would really be grate.

Hi,
I think the best thing to do would be to simply get the proxy settings from IE.
Best regards,
Tudor

I agree- this would be nearly foolproof- even Mozilla users have Explorer configured correctly.

Not always the best option as we use an proxy config script which doesnt work for a lot of apps , for those that dont work we have to manually add a server address and port so having the otion for both would be fab ( as wouldhaving decent 3D cards in our desktop machines but i guess you cant fix that huh :) )

Ditto here.
Can't get it to work either through an authenticating proxy (port 8000) or non-authenticating (port 8080).
Haven't yet tried using a port-mapper to remap port 80 requests to one of the above... might try that in a bit..

Yes. I can confirm that this worked using the AnalogX port-remapper (downloaded it from snapfiles.com - It's freeware).
Yay!

I downloaded AnalogX but I'm not that technically minded ( ! ) - can you outline what you did to set it up? ( realise my settings will be different )
Thanks for the help !

Go to the "Configure" option in the port remapper and choose that any request for port 80 (which WorldWind seems to use) as the source and then the destination is set to the address of your proxy server and port.
Source requests:
Port 80
Destination:
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:portnum
^Address and port of your proxy server
Hope that helps.

I use the AnalogX Port Mapper to supply a working port 80 to all applications.
All applications are happy with that port 80 and can communicate through the proxy to the outside - except World Wind 1.2e!
Please advise what port(s) are _really_ used by NASA World Wind 1.2e.
Thank you!
