Have you checked your graphics card compatibility?

Not entirely true.. it has been hit and miss with the 550 series.

True, but the error is as far as I can tell, a DirectX problem, see the screenshot I've posted

If the video cards is not supported, then sadly the only way to make WorldWind run is to buy a better video card. Check that link on the Wiki, find an online shop, and buy the cheapest card which works (the Radeon 9200 series would be a good choice). You can get those for under $50, so not tooooo much, although apologies for the inconvenience.

I would like to add that downloading and updating to the latest drivers for your video card sometimes does the trick.

My intel would not work with the old version (would crash the computer) however with new driver it runs fine (but with problems)

Worldwind worked flawlessly on my computer up to version 1.2d

Upgrading to version 1.2e has effectively nuked the application, with the error originally stated in this topic happening. What changes were made between 1.2d and 1.2e that might cause this issue?

As Llynix said, probably our much loved enemy, Dx_hell. Version 1.3 is NOW OUT:D
