Hell-o All at World Wind!

Your software is realy amaizing. Was cool to see Hollwood detaled foto shoted by satellite :-)

And here begin my problem. USA is very detaled (cars, street corners etc) in World Wind. But when I was looking for locations in Europa (I live in Poland), specially for my house, I was :-(

It works great only when it comes to USA.

Somebody told me that the Brits have released software which is close to World Wind and which includet detaled satellite fotos of Europe in the same quality like World Wind dues.

I hope somebody of you know this software. Please write me about, post link - it will be great

Thats all

Best regards

Lupul

Checked around and have not heard of any application like that.

What we DO know is that the imagery DOES exist. But because of Red Tape, licensing issues, lunar position is wrong... we are not having the best of luck at getting the imagery open for all to use.

There are companies which do it commercially, as TomServo says...none are interesting in making their content public domain for WW, sadly.

Unfortunately the European agencies seem to hide their data. They don't like to share it with tax-payers :(
Compare the NASA Mars Rovers with ESA Mars Express - NASA gives you tons of information (even raw images)

I think you're getting mixed up.

We're talking about flying planes to get hi-res imagery like USGS. Sadly there aren't any satellites which can do that (well, not that I'm allowed to know exist, anyway :P).

The space agencies don't do airplanes, private companies do, and it's those companies who don't want to give away their data for free.
